One of my favorite things about the equipment I choose to use is that it’s mostly weatherproofed. Or at least two of the most important pieces are. When it comes to northwest weather, this means I can shoot any day, any time, any weather. And any weather can lead to some cool shots you aren’t going to be able to get without a weatherproofed kit.

Parking garages are one of my favorite locations to shoot. Good texture, usually a bit of good scenery off the roof. Sometimes you’ll get asked to leave by security, but if you’re in an area with no cars, most guards tend to be more curious than anything. Either way, the worst they can do is ask you to leave.

We went down a floor and while I was trying to decide what to do, I realized the natural light was damn near perfect. I still popped the back a bit to add a bit of special polish to the image.

This one’s all natural light in the middle of pouring down rain. It’s simple, but sometimes simple works.

This is my favorite from the day. The rain was coming down hard and started to fog up my lens (weatherproofing doesn’t solve all rain based problems unfortunately). We were nearly out of time, but I wanted to do something in this park. It came out almost jungle-y. I really dig it, as did the client.

If it’s not raining in the northwest, it’s an odd day. Use that to your advantage and let me make some awesome photos for you!
