Oregon Beach Portrait Photography – Day Two
My 2nd day down at the beach with Joelle was just as fun as the first. We drove a bit down the Pacific Coast Highway looking for other beach spots and came across a nice big pile of tidal rocks.

I CTOd the flash again, but this time left the camera settings natural. The day was just as cloudy and miserable as the previous one, but through light trickery, I created from scratch a pretty convincing sun.
One of my favorite things with the photos I do for any purpose, commercial, portrait, advertising, whatever, is to shoot from ‘different’ angles. Seeing something shot from eye level isn’t nearly as interesting as shooting from a place where eyes aren’t generally found. Whether it’s from down low to the ground, up directly above the subject, it makes for neat images that will stand out. And when you’re paying for professional photography, you probably want your images to stand out from the crowd.
