Suit Up, Marcus

Marcus is a man who loves his suits. He’s also got nothing but an absolutely terrible cell phone camera and a bathroom mirror with which to show his suits off to the world (well, that and going out). Enter me.

We started inside, and I was somewhat inspired by those Dos Equis beer commercials with “The Most Interesting Man In The World.” I didn’t go quite as stylized as they go, but I still kind of felt it.

Four lights on this one, an AB400 gelled red pointed at a draped muslin background (really wish I could have found my old black satin sheet for this one), a gridspotted AB800 back and camera left to give a nice rim light. Another AB800 through a softbox, mounted high and just to the right of frame. Lastly, a ring flash on axis to fill in the shadow side just a bit.

When the northwest rain died down a bit, I grabbed the softboxed light and the vagabond, and got him something that looked like it should be on the cover of “Awesome Business Tycoon Magazine”
