Battle Ground Senior Portraits at Lewisville Park
It’s definitely Senior Portrait season. This is another one that turned out particularly well. The Girl and her Mom both wanted to hit up a local park, and Lewisville is one of my favorites in that regard. We got quite a bit done in the hour allotted, and got my feet quite a bit wet crossing through the water with a car battery in one hand and a very expensive flash unit in the other, just so that I could get to a little island of rocks that looked like it would be neat. The best shot of the evening came from back on the shore, however.

While we did a few closeups more traditional portraits around this nice chunk of trees, I couldn’t resist doing a long shot with that sky back there. Thanks to the power of the portable flashes, I was able to milk every ounce of color possible out of them, making for just a straight up really cool image. I found out later that a friend of mine knew the girl’s mom, and that she had been raving about how happy she was not only with the photos, but with the fact that I was willing to wade knee deep in water with all my equipment just to get some good shots. I like to bring that level of work ethic to every job. If I can do it safely and I think it’ll make a great photo, absolutely I’m going to get my feet wet.
Maybe you’re looking for that kind of ethic and this kind of quality in your next portrait, be it for your school yearbook, your website ‘about us’ page, or your next advertising campaign? Toss me a message and we’ll see what’ll work for you!
