Social Networking Portrait in Vancouver, WA
This client was looking for some new portraits for social networking. Our original plan involved doing some work outside, but the weather refused to cooperate. Instead, we turned her small apartment bedroom into a makeshift studio. The walls in there were a hideous color of green that was… yeah… just not pleasant. Using only two lights, I was able to turn her bedroom into something palatable for photographing, and keep light on her to make her look as good as she does in real life.

One of the greatest benefits of portable lighting, as I’ve espoused before, is that I can take even a crappy location and make something great. It also means that if you’ve only got a few minutes to get your headshots done, that we don’t have to bother with going to some fancy location to make something that looks good.
